On the last Wednesday of each month, we’ll randomly draw a winner from all the entries, who will instantly be declared our CKSY “CLASS OF THE MONTH”!

Mr. Schoger is an awesome teacher that uses comedy and instills laughter into our learning. One time he stood on top of a desk to help us remember a formula in math… “I am going to stand on this desk so that you remember that you don’t ever multiply the exponent by the base number!!!” I will always think of that explaination and remember how crazy his teachings were but a very useful way to get his point across. Sometimes you just need something to trigger your memory and Mr. Schoger is excellent in finding ways to explore our enthusiasium of learning.

I’m in Mr. Newcombe’s grade 8 french imersion class, and we have been together for a LONG time! Though sometimes we really annoy each other, we will always be a great big family! Our class is very exepting, and funny! We can always make each other laugh. And don’t get me started with our teacher! Our whole class could probably agree that, Mr. Newcombe is one of the best teachers we’ve ever had! I couldn’t ask for anyone different, teacher or student!
Our class is probably what I would consider a huge family. Most of the kids have been together since kindergarden, we’ve all grown and learned from one another. Now we’re grade 8’s and getting set for a jump, well leap into a new world, AKA high school. If we got this it would be amazing, it would be like an end to elementary school, welcome to high school kind of thing. We aren’t the average class of grade 8 english, we are french kids which means we rarely get new kids, so that adds to the fact that we are like a big family. Yep, our class is my home away from home. Its funny, I’m not the most talkative but I’ve always felt welcome in our class.
Now my teacher Mr.Newcombe, is great. He’s nice and reaches out to even the stubbornest kids. I have to give him recognition for that. He has a go for it attitude, that is always great.
Now I know we aren’t cute little grade ones or twos, but even us big kids like to have fun. Its a blast listening to you guys on the radio cause your laid back, you don’t sound like your reading from a script which is really cool!
Just saying this is probably one of our last chances to enter this so please really consider us.

Mr. Newcombe or as I like to calk him Mr. Newcs is my favorite teacher by far! He’s an amazing person, probably one of the nicest guys you will ever meet! He is a kind hearted teacher that any student would be lucky to have. I know I am! He works his hardest everyday to insure that our class has a well planned out, fun day ahead of us! He’s always upbeat and ready to have fun! But, not only is he good with school work, he also knows how to talk to his students and help them in their personal life when they ask for advice. I know I can talk to him about anything! So, that’s my teacher but wait until you hear about my class!
My class has to be one of the tightest bunch of people you will ever meet! We’ve been together practically our whole life! From kindergarten to now grade 8, we’ve know each other! If we weren’t in the same class we would still hangout in the grades up until grade 3. Finally, in grade 3 our two classes emerged into one and it’s be like that from that point! We’ve had a few new students along the way but they fitted in well! Honestly, I think of my class like a family, a bog happy family! Sometimes we don’t get a long but every family has their problems. Yet, in the end, were alway there for one another and we always work it out. Our class is filled with a variety of different people! We have different cultures, athletes, musicians, artists, dancers, we have it all! Our class isn’t perfect but we make laughter an smiles out of our flaws! I couldn’t ask for a better class!
John N Given’s French immersion grade 8 is the best class because we are always there for each other. Our class has been together since we were in grade 3. We have shared alot of laughs and memories together. Our teacher is Mr Newcombe. Mr Newcombe is a awesome teacher because he always makes work fun for everyone.

Mr Newcombe’s grade 8 class at John N. Given is by far the most amusing class I’ve ever been in. We have singers, dancers, athletes and people from different cultures. We always have a laugh and for most of us, we actually look forward to going to school. Mr. Newcombe follows the curriculum he was given, but he somehow always makes it more interesting. He understands our needs, and is always more than willing to help us when we need it. (:

I like my teacher, she is very nice, and we do alot of things that are fun but teaches us too.
My daughter’s teacher is fabulous and extremely understanding. Amanda had Mrs. Butzer in Grade 3, now Grade 5. Mrs. Butzer goes above and beyond to ensure her students are successful. Her classmates are great! They work together as a group, supporting each other along the way.

He teaches all the old school values in a modern up beat way. He is making education fun without losing the concept of what school is all about.He and all the children in his 4/5 class work very hard and would really enjoy a subway lunch.
I would like to nominate my classes at Tecumseh Public School. They are 2 great JK/SK classes. They have worked hard since September and our school is getting ready for District review. The kids deserve a treat for all their hard work and for following all the SWPBS agreements at our school.

Mrs. Gregory is an amazing teacher. My daughter was not enjoying school in French immersion and when she changed to Mrs. Gregory’s room she now is excited about school. Mrs. Gregory does exciting activities that involve the children. My daughter really liked her blogster assignment. This class deserves the reward for all their hard work which is made fun by Mrs. Gregory.

My son’s teacher Mrs. Mariconda, is caring and has such interesting things for the class to do. There is never a dull moment, and she has the kids engaged. The class should win the prize due to all the progress they have made so far in the room. She has made our son love school, and reading!
My teacher Mrs. Lefebvre is awesome. She is always helping out everyone and everyone in my class loves her. She always gives enough time for us to finish all our math work so we don’t have any homework.
She always gives us interesting projects in art like making windsocks that look like ghosts and dancing in black light. I think we should win this prize because Mrs. Lefebvre is really really awesome.

She has taught me all kinds of things I never knew. She does not give alot of homework and if she does it always fun to do. Now I love going to school because every day I learn something new. I would like to win the class of the mounth. not only that i want to be thanked from other kids and br known but see the my classmates have a good and healthy lunch. my teacher is awesome he realy fouses on learning but countiues to add fun to our tasks to make them more interesting. mr.amato teaches a grade 5/6 class i think we deserve it. Mr. amato is most understanding, most caring teacher! and one great thing of our class is we love math. every time we have math we clap and cheer on but then we have to stop. we behave and we love having physical education with him. i absoulty think we should win this contest for class of the mouth and remeber if we win you have to bring a sub for our teacher. i will incourage my friends to enter this contest on your wbsite and wil ry to get them to listen to your guys amazing radio station

Mrs. Griffioen is 6months pregnant with her 3rd child and somehow finds the energy to teach 50+ JK/SK children. She is the most compassionate and caring teacher I know, she takes the time to ensure all her little ones are taken care of as if they are her own!
Daniel’s teacher goes above and beyond helping him. She is a great teacher and Daniel thoroughly loves attending school. He tells me often that she is the best teacher ever
Mrs. Vanderpol is anawesome teacher! she puts up with no guff, but yet she is very tolerant & dare i say…laid back. She has made an impact on my son, who up until now, never really enjoyed school!

She is up bright and early every morning eager to get to school.
She says Mr. MacKenzie makes her laugh and she loves when Wilbur the puppet comes to help Mr. MacKenzie teach social studies.

mrs sylvestre has done a great job with her grade 1/2 class. aidan is always excited about learning and always gets up ready and happy to go to school. some weekends he even says he would like to go. that in it self says everything about a teacher!!!!

Mrs. Pfaff is the grade 5 teacher at the WJ Baird school and she is awesome. This teacher has patience beyond patience. I say this because last year she had one of the largest classes in the school, this year her class is a little smaller. She puts up with absolutely no nosense from any of the children. She is one of the most understanding, caring and involved teachers I have seen in a long time.
Mrs Fox is so nice and deals with kids very well!!!!!!!!

My Teacher, Mrs. Deys, Is the best teacher in the whole world. She has a lot of teaching experience and is great with all the kids in my class. She takes time to make sure everybody in the class does their best and has fun while learning. Everyone in my class tries their best to succeed and works very hard. We all get along and follow the rules. Mrs Denys is very commited to help us reach for the stars. Mrs Denys has always been there for us through our troubles. Mrs. Knight has been an amazing addition to Our Lady of Fatima. She is energetic, excited and always enthusiastic about education. The Subway treat would be such a great “reward” for her hard work with Morgan’s grade 5 class! Thanks!

Mrs. Appleton and Mrs. K are 2 very wonderful ladies who have taken the time to find different ways for my son to stay involved and attentive while in class. Noah gives these 2 ladies a run for their money but they are always smiling and affectionate to my sons needs.

Ms. Vanderlip is a very nice teacher and she makes learning fun. My daughter is in JK and she has loved every minute of her first year.
This has been a wonderful year for my daughter in Mrs Kingsbury class. She has shown great improvement in her studies and classwork. She has also participated in so many activities this year, lunch moniter,helping with the breakfast program and taking pictures for the yearbook. I truly believe that a big part of this is due to being in Mrs Kingsburys classroom. Mrs Kingsbury is a very positive person in the classroom.
I think the grade 4 class at W.J. Baird should be classroom of the month because they only had there teacher for a few months. Mrs. Johnson had to leave so she could take care of her daughter. Mr. Phaff then took over and I am sure they had a rough time adjusting to a new teacher that soon. The Children or my son at least likes Mr. Phaff but thinks he is tough on him. Thank you and I hope Daniel’s class is choosen. I will be listening…lol
Mrs Pfaff is a grade 5 teacher and in my personal opinion one of the best teachers I have come across in years. She has patience for all the students in her classroom, a very caring heart, and actually listens to the childrens concerns. She does not allow or condone any bullying and actually does something about it when brought to her attention. I wish there were more teachers out there like her.

Mrs. Mellis is a wonderful teacher, who in grade one class deserves to be nominated for much more than just being a teacher. She takes the time to ensure that all students in her class understand what they are being taught.Maintains her class very well, and that her students are all teated fairly. She has an amazing ability to keep their attention.

My daughter Kennedy is in senior kindergarten and she along with her whole class have worked very hard to carry on to the next step in their acedemic journey. Mrs. Richards is one of the main reasons these girls and boys work so hard because they do not want to disappoint her. It has come to my attention that there is no longer any ceremony for these little ones when they “graduate”.
I am sad at this news because it is like a “rite of passage” that every child should have in their memory bank. I still remember my graduation and it has been a few years.
Anyway I just think these kids should be acknowledged for all of their hardwork.

Mr. Shymanski is a wonderful teacher for my son’s split grade 3/4 glass. A very pleasant man wih a kind and gentle demeanor. Matthew just loves this teacher and with good reason. Very caring and compassionate and always seems composed in dealing with a very busy class of students. I’m greatful that Matthew has such a wonderful teacher . In my opinion, there needs to be more Mr. Shymanski’s at every school and at every grade. He so deserves to be recognized. Thank for for being such a positive influence on my son.
Mme Hart certainly has her work cut out for her with her classroom mainly consisting of boys. She has managed to control this highly active class while teaching in a small portable with very limited space. As a parent who is dedicated to my child’s learning I see not only control but cleanliness and a high learning standard being set in this grade 3 class. I personally am so glad to have Mme Hart as Tanner’s grade 3 teacher. I know I have enjoyed what she has accomplished with this class and Tanner is having a great year in grade 3 and I owe it to her. Thank you Mme Hart! I would LOVE nothing more than to have CKSY reward this grade 3 class with SUBWAY in the success of a greatschool year so far to date.
My daughter Mackenzie is in Mr.McCord’s grade 2 class at ICRPS. She would love it if her class could win The Class Of The Month Lunch from Subway!!! Mackenzie loves going to school and states that Mr.McCord is the best teacher ever. She says he makes learning fun. Mr.McCord is very dedicated to his class, and all the extra time and effort that he puts into his classroom does not go un-noticed by students or parents. His car is frequently noticied to be parked out in front of the school on weekends, and was even spotted there over March Break when he should have been home or away relaxing!!! Thank-You from Mr.McCord’s grade 2 class, and the Young family!!!!
Ms. Katie Welton’s skills don’t fall far from the tree as far as determining her career! Following in her Dad,s footsteps she filled them right away! Caitlin, my daughter, and fellow students had her for grade 2/3 (her first class!), again in grade 5 and planned her family (baby number two) making sure she would be back to have them for grade 8!!!! That is commitment and a great send off has her pupils enter high school in the fall! She has certainly given her students a strong foundation to move successfully forward in eduction and life. All students of McNaughton have high respect and a love for her. And she the same. This subway giveaway would be a nice celebration for both Ms. Welton and her students to share!!
Ms. Myers is the best because she doesn’t give a lot of homework, doesn’t yell and we have beanbag chairs, pillows and mats to read on. She has good prizes for our reading contest every month! Carter Pickering
Mlle. Weber is a wonderful teacher with such patience and love for her students. Her students are successful in her class thanks to her engaging activities and warm heart. Mr. Newcombe is a wonderful teacher with a soft spoken voice and a very caring heart. He makes each day in his classroom a fun and enjoyable experience. Having Mr Newcombe as my sons grade 8 teacher has only enhanced the students lives that he touches. What a wonderful ending to ahis public school experience. Heres to you Mr. Newcombe and a big thank you from us all!
Mrs peirera creates a fun and happy environment for her students, she helps guide each of her students to be creative in his or her own individual way by gently steering them in their own direction of capabilities. We are thankful for this teacher as she demonstrates what teaching is all about, the caring for our children and wanting to see them suceed at there own pace and abilities.
Victoria is in Grade 6. She struggles with schoolwork, except for music, dance and drame. She is not a great eater but absolutely loves subs (no meat tho’).
Mlle Beaudoin is a great, young (goodlooking!)teacher so send in a smart, handsome young man with the subs. Tee hee.
Ben does not know I have submitted his class because I thouht it would be fun to surprise this Grade 7 Class! When I asked Ben what he thought of Mr. Smit he said, “He is entertaining and he makes learning fun!”
Mrs. Flavel is a wonderful teacher. She understands the youth special needs and accommodates above and beyond. She is helpful, open minded and very creative. She has taught two of my children and we are grateful. She takes the children on field trips and gives them tons of hands on experiences. She has made herself available to parents as they need it to better support the childrens education. She teaches the Grade 1-2 class. Thank you from the Speers family.
Mrs. Coristine is the best 2-3 classroom teacher we have met. She has two out of my four children. They love her. She is patient, kind, caring and open minded. She gives the children room to grow as well as provides them with the one on one they deserve when they need it. She makes learning fun. She thinks and works outside of the box. THank you from the Speers family for all your hard work Mrs. Coristine.
Mrs. Mellis is the GREATEST! Her classroom is very well organized
and she cares about each and every child.
Our son who has joined her class after X Mass has had the best report card we’ve seen . The reason for this in my opinion is that she takes the time to ensure that each child has the opportunity to get extra help with difficulties that may occur from not understanding a lesson. And the students that have accepted him as if he were always there.
She makes learning fun and memorable; My son tells her he’s “Had a good day” as he leaves her class at the end of each day.
This is why I think Mrs. Mellis’ grade one class deserves this.
Mrs Vanrabaeys is an excellent teacher she has helped my son get over her shyness and really progress in all his skills! it takes alot of energy and patients to teach a senior kindergarten class< and she does a great job at it! I think all the kids will be so excited to receive subs and learn a little about the radio!
Ms.Bastien is great. In her grade four class this year they have been studying about medieval times. She has used this theme throughout most subjects. On thursday the class is going to put on a medieval feast for family and friends. Each student has a role to play. the king will be knighting the knights. The food at the feast sound fabulous. The class is really excited and has been active learners with this endeaver. She has really kept the class engaged all year. Thank you for her time.
This is a 5/6 classroom with the best teacher in the world teaching it.
Mrs. Bunda makes school fun, she is always happy, and makes school enjoyable. I love to go to school, because of her. I go with a smile and come home with a smile, everyone in my class loves her too. We have a great class everyone gets along, we all play together at recess, even though it’s a split class. We do projects together, we have alot of fun.
