I’m sure there will be people here that will enjoy this type of thing but do we have the population base to draw from?

With double-digit unemployment, shouldn’t we focus on job creation, retention and social concerns instead of frivolous projects like the Capitol?

If people don’t have income…how do you expect them to buy concert tickets?

You’re entitled to your opinion, of course. But what, exactly, is a “Chatham-Kent” type thing? It may not be your thing, but that doesn’t mean there are many other people who’ve been waiting for something like this to happen in CK. Why should we have to travel to London, Windsor, Detroit or Toronto when we can have it here at home?

Not to put you or this production down…but will this be well attended?

This is not a “Chatham-Kent” type thing and that’s why I’m afraid that the Theatre is going to be a total flop. I can’t believe this is where my tax dollars are going…wait a minute…yes I can.

Sorry folks for ever second guessing the Chatham-Kent elite of which the media are their vanguards. Robyn, you keep promoting the Capitol Theatre…why? The whole situation makes me ill. But that will probably “mysteriously” burn down too one day.

I totally agree with Robyn. If people were educated on some facts they would not say something like this at all. Rob Myers spent more money on this project then he knew he would get back out of it. So why would someone burn down his own place when he built is for passion not cash?!?! BTW if I’m not mistaken he just finished or is still working on adding to the Retro Suites, still knowing that he would not get his money back out of it.
There are a few in Chatham Kent that are so negative about anything. If they don’t like what they see or hear, why not more on down the HWY.

Chatham Kent is a great place to work and live and raise a family!
