The surprise for me is, how little change we have on Chatham-Kent council, after hearing so many complaints from the general public, prior to the election, about how unhappy they are with the general state of this municipality. Read More
No I’m not talking about Russell Crowe. It’s that time of year when we ‘welcome’ the crows back to the city after they have spent much time lounging around in the fields of Chatham-Kent. Read More
What an amazing site this morning to see the trapped miners being brought to the surface, one by one, in the unique rescue capsule in Chile. We’re talking about 33 men who were presumed dead for some 17 days after the collapse deep underground. As I write this, 15 have been brought to the surface and the world will be watching today, hoping and praying that all goes well, in this unprecedented rescue. It’s hard to imagine what their thoughts would have been, perhaps they would never see their loved ones again and probably thinking that they would die under the earth;do they realize how the world has been watching their ordeal, probably not. What did they do to pass the time? Apparently they had daily sing songs (Elvis music prevailed), one man took up poetry, one man did daily medical checkups, they wrote letters to loved ones and I’m sure they prayed they would see the light of day again. It’s one of the greatest rescues the world has ever seen and truly something to give ‘thanks’ for!
After watching this video, I’m ready to change my underwear. So after they go GAGA, and scare the pants off you, the guy says “Have A Fun Flight”.
