As a little boy, most dream of being a firefighter or a hockey player. Me, I wanted to be on the radio. I don’t know what triggered the interest, but as long as I can remember, radio was my dream. I used to play pretend radio as a child (my parents had a lot of patience). Eventually, I grew up and decided to make that dream a reality. At age 18, a new community radio station launched in my town and I became a volunteer. I was able to do pretty much anything and everything at that station and I loved every minute of it. Problem was, it was volunteer. At that point, I figured a diploma would help me get an actual paying job, so off to Humber College I went. From there, I landed a gig working behind the scenes at a radio station in Toronto. After a few months, I really had the itch to get on the air and found a job in Huntsville. Although Muskoka is beautiful in the summer, it is freezing in the winter. In my search for a warmer climate, I found CKSY. I have been here ever since, and have been enjoying my time very much as Midday Host and Program Director. When I’m not at work, I’m usually busy at home with my wife, our daughter Emily, and Buster the dog. In my spare time I do enjoy canoeing, fishing, and relaxing in the backyard. Join me on the air weekdays from 10am-2pm.
