I heard this song for the first time about 6 months ago. My sister sent me the link on Youtube and said to keep my eyes peeled. I looked at the video and through the other video samples along the right hand side of the screen before I saw what she meant.

There in the comments section was a post written by her friend in Ireland. He explained that he had spent the last 3 days watching this video over and over again before he hopped on his bike and rode to his ex girlfriend’s house. He stood outside her house for an hour and then she came outside. He told her what a fool he’d been to let her go and asked if she’d take him back. He thanked the singer Gotye for the song and said “she is someone I will ALWAYS know.” (they are engaged now) Ever since then I’ve kept an eye on this song (which was the number one song in Australia for the year) to see how many hits it’s received. A little while ago I came across a remake, and since I loved the original so much, I thought I’d take a look. This version is very cool too:
