Two people are dead and another is in hospital with burns to most of his body following a single vehicle crash on Coatsworth Road early this morning.
According to Chatham-Kent Police, a woman noticed the fire around 12:20am, discovering a vehicle engulfed in flames near the intersection at Herman Line.
Police say the driver failed to navigate a large S-bend and crashed into the ditch, at which point the car caught fire.
One man manged to get out of the car before help arrived. At this time it isn’t clear if the two victims died in the crash, or in the fire.

My heart goes out to the friends and family of all those involved. Their lives will be forever altered. I know…my sister was killed at that same bend many years ago. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers….God Bless you and keep you during this tragic experience.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the families, and to the person in the hospital.
That is so tragic. My heart goes out to those involved. My sister died at the same bend. My thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family.
