Work is expected to get underway on an improved trail through O’Neill’s Nature Preserve in late Spring.
Project Co-ordinator Randall Van Wagner says the pathway through the former Paxton’s Bush will be more accessible.
“It’s going to follow the existing, main trail that’s in there already, it’s just going to be new material,” says Van Wagner. “It’s going to be crushed limestone screenings that will make it more accessible to all kinds of different pedestrians, strollers, that type of thing.”
Van Wagner is working with Carolinian Canada to include interpretive signs that will inform people of the animal and plant species living in the woodlot.
