C-A-O Don Shropshire is looking to a time when Chatham-Kent residents can see more accountability and communication from municipal employees.
Shropshire wants to address the naysayers with open honest dialogue to address ongoing issues. At the same time, Shropshire thinks anybody who feels the municipality is poorly run hasn’t taken a close enough look.
“That doesn’t mean that we can’t do things evenĀ better in the future,” says Shropshire. “There’s going to be continuing challenges for us because of the economic climates we’re going through and that’s probably going to be several years in the future as well.”
Shropshire officially took over the role of CAO from Ray Payne on Wednesday.
