The United Way of Chatham-Kent has released the final tally of money raised in the 2011 campaign.
The fundraising efforts brought in $1.87-million. That’s about 6% short of the $2-million dollar goal.
The campaign was co-chaired by Tony Walsh and wife Emily Durbin.
Walsh feels it was a positive result. “We are all well aware of the economic difficulties being experienced locally,” says Walsh. ”Nevertheless, donors from across Chatham-Kent dug deep.”
