If opening day is any indication, the new YMCA will have no trouble attracting more than two thousand new members.

The new facility officially opened it’s doors yesterday and Kim Bentley-MacDonald says people couldn’t be happier.

“The pool has been full since we opened the door, the weight room is being used, the gym, the indoor track, the energy zone, child minding…everything is in full bloom,” says Bentley- MacDonald.

She admits though, it was bittersweet closing the old “Y” building on King Street Friday night.
