Natural Resources Canada says a second earthquake hit the area last Thursday. Seismologist Janet Drysdale says the 2.7-magnitude quake hit shortly after 5am that morning, 17kms east of Leamington. She says it’s not common in this area to have a follow-up event. The first quake registered a 3.0 last Wednesday. Drysdale says no other seismic activity was observed in the region over the weekend.
