A twenty-seven turbine wind farm near St. Joachim is the province’s first all-Ontario steel project. Minister of Energy Brad Duguid is in the small Lakeshore community today for the arrival of the turbine pieces. Duguid says all wind projects moving forward will be constructed with 100-percent Ontario-made steel. The project by Toronto-based International Power is creating more than 120 local jobs and is expected to generate power for 16,000 homes.
